NVIDIA to Build AI Supercomputers in the U.S. for the First Time

In a historic move, NVIDIA AI supercomputers US manufacturing has officially begun, marking the first time the tech giant will build its AI infrastructure entirely on American soil. Announced on April 14, 2025, NVIDIA confirmed that its next-generation Blackwell chips are now in production at TSMC’s facilities in Phoenix, Arizona, while AI supercomputers will be assembled in newly commissioned factories in Houston and Dallas, Texas.

Major U.S. Expansion in AI Infrastructure

This expansion sees NVIDIA working with key manufacturing partners — TSMC, Foxconn, Wistron, Amkor, and SPIL — to establish more than 1 million square feet of combined factory space for chip fabrication, packaging, assembly, and testing.

Production of NVIDIA Blackwell chips, designed to power next-gen AI systems, has already commenced at TSMC’s U.S.-based chip plants. Meanwhile, Foxconn’s Houston facility and Wistron’s Dallas plant will handle supercomputer assembly, with full-scale production expected to ramp up within 12 to 15 months.

A New Era of “AI Factories”

NVIDIA’s AI supercomputers are not traditional servers — they’re the engines of AI factories, a new class of data centers purpose-built to train, deploy, and scale generative AI models. These facilities are essential infrastructure for industries relying on artificial intelligence, from autonomous vehicles to pharmaceutical research and financial forecasting.

According to NVIDIA, tens of gigawatt-scale AI factories are expected to be constructed in the coming years, and many will be fueled by U.S.-built components.

Massive Economic and Employment Impact

With this initiative, NVIDIA aims to produce up to $500 billion worth of AI infrastructure within the United States over the next four years. This move is projected to generate hundreds of thousands of high-tech jobs and reinforce economic and technological sovereignty in the fast-evolving global AI race.

“The engines of the world’s AI infrastructure are being built in the United States for the first time,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA.
“American manufacturing strengthens our supply chain and boosts our resiliency.”

Advanced Tech Behind the Scenes

NVIDIA is leveraging its own cutting-edge technologies to automate and optimize the new U.S. facilities:

  • NVIDIA Omniverse: Used to create real-time digital twins of the factories for predictive modeling and operational efficiency
  • NVIDIA Isaac GR00T: A next-generation robotics platform designed to build the autonomous systems that will run the manufacturing process

These tools will help accelerate production while minimizing costs and errors, showcasing the real-world application of NVIDIA’s AI and simulation platforms.

Strategic Resilience in AI Supply Chain

The move to domestic manufacturing addresses growing concerns around global supply chain vulnerabilities and semiconductor dependencies. By building its core infrastructure in the U.S., NVIDIA enhances control over product quality, lead times, and strategic autonomy — critical factors in an era of intensifying demand for AI computing power.

Summary

With the launch of NVIDIA AI supercomputers US manufacturing, the company is transforming the landscape of American tech manufacturing. Arizona and Texas will soon become central hubs in a trillion-dollar industry, paving the way for future innovation, job creation, and national resilience in artificial intelligence.
