The Meta NVIDIA AI partnership is entering a major new phase as both companies announced a multi-year, multi-generational strategic agreement to expand artificial intelligence infrastructure at massive scale. The collaboration will see Meta deploy millions of advanced GPUs while integrating NVIDIA’s CPUs and networking technologies across its global data center ecosystem.

The Meta NVIDIA AI partnership is designed to support Meta’s long-term AI roadmap, including the development of hyperscale data centers optimized for both AI training and inference. These facilities will power personalization systems and core services used by billions of people worldwide.

Meta NVIDIA AI Partnership Accelerates GPU Deployment

Under the expanded agreement, Meta will deploy millions of NVIDIA Blackwell and Rubin GPUs across its infrastructure. These GPUs are engineered to handle demanding AI workloads, including large language models and real-time inference systems.

Beyond GPUs, Meta will significantly expand the use of Arm-based NVIDIA Grace CPUs in production data center applications. This marks the first large-scale implementation of Grace-only systems, supported by joint engineering and software optimization efforts aimed at improving performance per watt with each generation.

The companies also confirmed plans to work on deploying NVIDIA Vera CPUs, with potential large-scale rollout targeted for 2027. The move is expected to further strengthen energy-efficient AI computing while deepening the Arm software ecosystem.

Hyperscale Data Centers for AI Training and Inference

As part of the Meta NVIDIA AI partnership, Meta plans to build hyperscale AI-optimized data centers spanning on-premises facilities and cloud deployments. These centers will unify architecture across Meta’s infrastructure and NVIDIA Cloud Partner environments.

To support AI workloads at scale, Meta will roll out NVIDIA GB300-based systems. In addition, the company is adopting NVIDIA’s Spectrum-X Ethernet networking platform to deliver low-latency and predictable performance while improving operational efficiency and power consumption.

The unified approach is intended to ensure scalability and performance consistency across regions as AI demands continue to grow.

Confidential Computing and AI Privacy Enhancements

The partnership also extends into privacy-focused AI deployment. Meta is already using NVIDIA Confidential Computing technology to enable private AI processing on WhatsApp. This allows AI-powered features while maintaining user data confidentiality and integrity.

Both companies indicated that confidential computing capabilities will expand across other Meta services. This move aims to balance AI innovation with data protection requirements in an increasingly regulated global environment.

Strategic AI Vision for the Future

Meta’s leadership described the expanded Meta NVIDIA AI partnership as foundational to delivering advanced AI capabilities at global scale. The collaboration aligns with Meta’s broader ambition to build next-generation AI clusters capable of supporting increasingly complex models and applications.

For NVIDIA, the agreement reinforces its role as a critical infrastructure provider in the AI ecosystem. With Blackwell, Rubin, Grace, and Vera platforms integrated into Meta’s roadmap, the partnership signals sustained demand for high-performance AI computing hardware and networking solutions.

As AI infrastructure spending accelerates worldwide, the Meta NVIDIA AI partnership positions both companies at the center of the next phase of global AI expansion.
